So, you are thinking of starting a blog of your own, or perhaps you have already started a blog and now you are looking for ways to make money from your blog. Well, you are in luck, below I have created a list of some of the most popular ways that bloggers use to make money from their websites.
Running Advertisements
Google AdSense offers bloggers and other websites the opportunity to show advertising on their blogs to generate income. When visitors come on to the website and they click on an ad, you will make money. The amount of money you make per a click varies and depends on the types of ads you choose to display.
There are also other advertising companies like Google AdSense such as Taboola and Outbrain however there are some requirements that will need to be meet before using them such as having a certain amount of traffic and how long your blog is running for. Check them out to find out more.
Sell Products
Do you have any items that you make yourself? Or can find at a low price and sell high, well then you can sell them on your own blog, just add the products on your blog, take clear and attractive pictures of the products and list them for sale. People will be able to purchase directly from your blog.
Affiliate Links
With Affiliate links you don’t have to own the product to sell and make money from it. This way of making money works by adding links of other business to your website, when customers click the link, they are redirected to the other businesses page, and if they make a purchase then you will make a percentage of the sale.
There are many affiliate networks that provide an extensive list of companies that you can use. One of these companies that I use personally is FlexOffers. They have a wide range of business to pick from and provide great compensations.
Memberships and Subscriptions
If you have unique content or interesting stories, you can start a members only website. Customers will pay a fee either monthly or yearly to gain access to your content. You can also create a members only section of your website to allow users who pay to only have access to that section of the website.
If you are using WordPress for your website, there are many plugins available to create a paywall for the members only area, making it simpler to implement.
Offer Courses
Like to teach others? why not teach others online, by providing courses, these can either be pre-recorded or live. You can provide the teachings once or twice a week to your customers. If its pre-recorded, then you can sell your courses directly on your website. You can make good earnings from teaching others; people are willing to pay premium to get the right knowledge.
So, no matter what you blog about there is always ways to monetise your website. From running ads to offering courses to teach others, there is a way to make money online. Don’t forget to check out my other posts on how to get started blogging and gain financial freedom.
